such is my life.

October 06, 2004

as i am so sure that i lost any readers that i once had...i will throw you all of guard and post.

life here in austin is good. real good. except for a few small hang-ups.

  • i NEVER open the gate the right way to get into the pool. it's always this awkward situation of pushing...pulling...pushing...pulling...looking around to make sure no one is on their balcony watching you do this...pushing...pulling...
  • austin radio sucks. yeah, you would think it wouldn't. but no...i listen to my radio scanning more than i listen to any ONE station. there must be a remedy.
  • as for being the fresh meat that we were so excited to be (confession...), our bubble has been burst with the other 20,000 new freshman who are much cuter, MUCH younger and much less difficult. singleness still remains.
  • after a month and a half of trucking up my 3 flights of stairs anytime i go anywhere...i am still out of breath when i reach my door. bodies weren't made for torture like that.
  • driving around is no problem...i can get around just fine...but the whole driving 25 miles round trip to go to the store...that just sucks. quasar hit 50,000 yesterday, and i am already overdue for an oil change despite the fact that i got one the day before i moved. and the gas...i don't even want to talk about it. good thing i am rich.

as of now, i am sporting an ever so cool oversized keychain that a little girl i babysit for made me. the thing is huge. and it's a fish. with flowers on it. a fish. with flowers. a. fish. with flowers. i think i might have to take out extra insurance just to cover the damage that thing does to...everything. it's totally funny when i forget that it's on my keychain and whip out my keys in front of the "oh so cute" guy at church. "WHOA! sorry to hit you with my huge fish!"

well, i am until monday, not that anyone even checks my blog or even remembers that it never got voted for funniest, or most serious or anything...just a mediocre, nothing blog. i have seen it's links disappearing. thanks meg and heather for keeping the memory of so fresh and so clean alive in your hearts. it's people like you that make me post once every month.
